“Color of Love”: Meet Leah Vallance

Welcome to the “Color of Love”, a series for the month of February featuring guest artists and other surprises. A series of colorful ideas, expressions and artistic views!

Todays’ featured artist is from Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Mostly a self-taught artist, she enjoys many types of crafts: from all kinds of needlework to woodworking and interior design. Colour is her inspiration! She loves the process of creating a work of colour that someone else might enjoy. Her second Etsy shop is ” miniarttreasures”.

Please welcome todays guest of honor, Leah Vallance:

About Me:
For the most part, I am a self-taught artist. In my late forties I fell in love
with watercolor and the amazing colors it can produce. My paintings are
expressions of my love of color. Another favorite is using markers on stark
white paper embellished with ink. I also find inspiration in viewing the art of others. There are so many
outstanding artists and crafters on ETSY.

What “Color of Love” Mean to Me:
“Color of Love”
The “Color of Love” could be an expression of one’s innermost feelings of
adoration for something outside oneself. It could be the intense pleasure felt
when a work of art or craft reaches into your heart and grabs on. It may be
subtle or bold, soothing or cold but it is always “wow”.

Thank you Leah for sharing your art with the world!
